GET OSHA TRAINING AT THE 2022 SETC CONVENTION

Do you or members of your staff need OSHA training specific to the live entertainment industry?

Come early to the 2022 SETC Convention to participate in the the OSHA-10 General Entertainment Safety course. This is a recognized “Alliance” between OSHA, IATSE and USITT. It is centered on a curriculum that is compatible with both OSHA General Industry guidelines and the unique challenges we find ourselves facing in the Entertainment Industry. Upon completion you will receive an OSHA-10 General Industry card that verifies that you have completed the safety training. This card is good for life and is recognized nationally in those jurisdictions requiring 10 hours of General Industry training.

This 2-Day course in General Entertainment Safety is designed by OSHA and industry professionals to build a “Culture of Safety Awareness” in our work environments. Specific topics include:

  • An Introduction to OSHA
  • Electrical
  • Ergonomics
  • Exits and Egress
  • Fall Prevention
  • Hand and Portable Power Tools
  • Hazard Communication
  • Material Handling
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • The general nature of OSHA’s guidelines is examined with a particular focus on conditions encountered in the entertainment industry. Examples and scenarios are included that participants can immediately apply to their work in the profession. Many venues across the country are requiring OSHA 10 General Industry training to work in their venues. Having General Entertainment Safety on your resume’ indicates a professional approach to your working environment. For many potential employers it represents a significant savings in time and money for potential employees.
