Co-founded in 1996 by Sir Paul McCartney, who remains our Lead-Patron, The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) is home to over 1,000 students from over 40 countries worldwide.

At undergraduate level we teach Applied Theatre, Acting, Theatre & Performance Design, Theatre & Performance Technology, Dance, Filmmaking, Arts/Music Management, Music and Sound Technology.

At graduate level we teach Acting (Company), Costume Making, and Professional Practice: Theatre and Drama Facilitation.

In England an undergraduate degree is typically three years in duration – rather than four – with no general education classes, meaning you focus on your passion from day one. Graduate level courses are one year in duration.

At LIPA you’ll collaborate with students from different disciplines on fully realised productions and projects, as you will when you leave, building a network of international contacts as you go.

Find out more and speak to our current students on our website: www.lipa.ac.uk
