In order to participate in the 2021 SETC Undergraduate or Graduate Auditions/Interviews or Theatre Job Fair, you are required to register as an individual. Once you have registered, you will receive an email with further information and instructions about how to access your selected opportunities.
In order to participate in the 2021 SETC Professional Auditions, all auditionees must first be screened through the SETC Virtual Screening Auditions. For more information please visit the 2021 Professional Auditions page.
SETC offers high school juniors, high school seniors, and college transfer students the opportunity to audition or interview and display portfolios for all participating recruiting schools in one convenient location. Candidates will upload audition materials/digital portfolios and recruiting institutions will create a Gallery page in our virtual convention platform. Recruiters can review auditions and application materials, identify the candidates with whom they’d like to speak further, and schedule an interview through an online conferencing platform. All interviews will take place during the convention dates.
Theatre school representatives seek students for their graduate theatre programs at the annual SETC Convention. Prospective students can submit a virtual audition or display design/tech portfolios for all participating recruiting schools in one convenient location. SETC’s Graduate Auditions/Interviews are ideal if you want to enter graduate school for theatre, seek exposure to multiple schools with one trip and one audition/interview, and/or are a working theatre professional wishing to pursue an advanced degree. Candidates will upload audition materials/digital portfolios and recruiting institutions will both create a gallery page in our virtual convention platform.
The benefits for both auditionees and professional companies are the “one-stop shop” of being seen by several companies at one time and SETC’s assistance in seamlessly scheduling/executing virtual callbacks. Video auditions also have a “shelf life”. Companies will have the auditions to view and share with their counterparts for months to come.
